Loving on my little boy

As a single mother,entrepreneur, and student, I have had to choose to honor my journey as a mother instead of spending time complaining about the freedom I miss or the unfair level of responsibility faced by single mothers. Celebrating the Mommy in ME is the purpose of this blog and I pray that my experiences are helpful to you as you honor your journey as a mother and celebrate the Mommy in YOU.

In undergraduate school I studied Family & Consumer Sciences and I became certified in STEP, a breakthrough methodology in the field of parenting education (http://www.steppublishers.com/studies). I became interested in public policy and studied Public Administration in graduate school. At the start of my graduate school career, I became pregnant with a beautiful baby boy and I started studying Nurturing Parenting (http://www.nurturingparenting.com/). I became certified almost two years ago and I now lead community groups through the methodology. I have a passion for equipping parents and empowering moms to enjoy motherhood as a joyful part of their lives.
